Wines of Hungary – Personally

22-24 March 2022

5 days, 6 masterclasses, nearly 100 wineries, more than 100 international wine experts

The Agricultural Marketing Centre – the official Hungarian wine marketing board – is organizing the Hungarian Wine Summit for the first time on 20-24 March 2022, which is a large-scale wine-themed professional event. International wine experts – including members of the trade press, traders, sommeliers, Masters of Wine– are invited to the event.

„Our long-term goal is the same as that of our Hungarian Wine Business Program: for Hungarian wines to occupy a worthy place on the international wine map, thus increasing their competitiveness in our existing and future export markets.”

For the invited experts, the program of the Hungarian Wine Summit will start on 20th March, and on 21-22nd March, they will participate in a study tour to the wine regions to see the Hungarian wine world up close.

From 22nd to 24th March, the professional audience will have the opportunity to get acquainted with Hungarian wines in the framework of masterclasses and walk-around tastings, and the possibility to have one-on-one discussions with winemakers is provided as well.

On the fourth day of the Hungarian Wine Summit, on 23rd March, six presentations will be organized, presenting six different topics. The topics were selected to demonstrate the diversity of Hungarian wines and to emphasize the most significant grape varieties, wine styles, and wine regions. We invited Hungarian and international wine experts knowledgeable about the Hungarian market and committed to the popularisation of Hungarian wine to be the lecturers of the masterclasses in the given topics.
